Exploring the Crossroads: What are we dealing with
2025-05-13 , Grand Ballroom B

I will explore the crucial intersection of physical and digital security. Drawing from my experience with lockpicking and cybersecurity, I will be demonstrating how the mindset of a physical intruder can enhance the understanding of digital security vulnerabilities. By blending practical problem solving, attention to detail and critical thinking, I will emphasise the importance of a holistic approach to security where physical and digital systems are deeply interconnected. of cyber collide.
I will leave the audience with what I think of as a new perspective on these interconnecting worlds, not only from the perspective of a worker at a company protecting data, but also looking from a larger picture, such as cyber-physical terrorism in the real world. Since powerful people want more power, an admin override to a country’s nuclear weapons, defences or satellites would be an “impeccable source of power”.
